Dr. Michael Pavel

Dr. Michael Pavel is the owner of Tuwaduq Cultural & Research Institute that provides high quality resources, presentations, research, and evaluation to meet the education needs of students, families, and communities.  He has published widely on factors influencing the social and academic success of Native students, integrating Native language and culture into school curricula, and assisting teachers to teach Native students and develop relationships with Native families and communities. As a nationally renowned scholar and highly successful professor at three major research universities, Dr. Pavel has advanced expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and an extensive list of publications, professional reports, consultancies, and evaluations of many programs specifically designed to serve Native peoples. Dr. Pavel has received numerous awards and honors recognizing his distinguished teaching, research, professional practice, and service that advanced public understanding of the education of Indigenous peoples. .
